A serious firing incident was reported outside Shaurya Green Apartments in Jalandhar, where a tenant allegedly opened fire following a late-night dispute. The accused, identified as Ruby, has been taken into police custody.
According to preliminary information, the accused was residing in the society as a tenant and reportedly claimed to be related to a councillor to exert influence. The incident occurred around 12:30 AM when he reached the premises and got involved in an argument.
Sources indicate that the firing took place outside the residential complex, triggering panic in the area. The exact cause of the dispute is currently under investigation.
Eyewitnesses stated that the accused appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and engaged in abusive behavior before the situation escalated into firing.
Residents immediately alerted the police, who reached the spot and detained the accused. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Speaking to TrueScoop, Ajay Singh confirmed the arrest and stated that strict legal action will be taken, adding that no one will be spared.
Society officials further stated that the accused had a history of disruptive behavior and was previously involved in vandalizing vehicles within the premises. Authorities are proceeding with appropriate legal action in the case.
