Sh. Mukhtiar Rai, PPS, ADCP City-1, Jalandhar, informed that a video regarding a theft incident at Shri Hanuman Ji Temple in Mohalla Islamabad, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Division No. 4, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar, is currently going viral on social media.
He stated that, so far, no formal complaint has been received by the police in connection with the incident. However, taking serious cognizance of the viral video, the Commissionerate Police Jalandhar is initiating legal proceedings and registering a case in the matter.
The police are conducting a detailed investigation by examining CCTV footage from the temple and surrounding areas. Technical investigation methods are also being employed to identify and trace the persons involved in the incident.
Sh. Mukhtiar Rai further stated that the investigation is being carried out on priority, and the accused will be identified and arrested at the earliest, followed by appropriate legal action as per law.
