The prolonged dispute surrounding prominent Jalandhar hotel Mariton has now moved towards an amicable resolution, with the concerned stakeholders reaching a compromise after months of disagreements.
Jalandhar Central Halka In-charge Nitin Kohli and Jalandhar Mayor Vaneet Dhir played an important role in facilitating discussions between the concerned parties and encouraging all sides to resolve the matter through mutual understanding and dialogue.
Several prominent members and stakeholders associated with the matter were present during the discussions. These included Yash Dua, Vikas Mittal, Dr Paramjit Singh Marwaha, Inderpal Marwaha, Inderjit Singh Marwaha, Gurkirpal Singh Marwaha, Gurpreet Singh Marwaha, Gursimran Singh Marwaha and Gautam Kukreja.
The meeting also saw the presence of Senior Deputy Mayor Balbir Singh Dhillon, Deputy Mayor Malkeet Singh and Vicky Tulsi, along with other persons involved in facilitating the resolution.
Following discussions, the parties have agreed to a compromise and decided to put the differences behind them in the larger interest of maintaining peace, mutual respect and a positive environment.
Nitin Kohli said that disputes involving prominent institutions and business establishments are best resolved through dialogue and mutual understanding. He appreciated the willingness of all the stakeholders to come together and find a mutually acceptable way forward.
Mayor Vaneet Dhir also welcomed the development and expressed hope that the compromise would bring an end to the differences that had kept Mariton in the spotlight over the past several months.
Nitin Kohli further said that if any other corporation-related issues remain pending, the stakeholders have requested the Mayor to step in and help sort out the matters through dialogue and mutual understanding.
