A young man from Raipur Peer Bakhshwala village in the Bhulath sub-division of Kapurthala district has reportedly died under suspicious circumstances in Canada. The youth had gone to Winnipeg, Canada in search of a better future and livelihood. His body was found in a lake in Canada under mysterious circumstances. Following the news of his death, a wave of grief swept throughout the family and his village.
The family has demanded a thorough investigation into the incident. The deceased has been identified as Davinder Singh, son of Sukhjinder Singh, a resident of Raipur Peer Bakhshwala village. He had gone abroad to Canada around 8 years ago for studies and work. Davinder’s father passed away about 20 years ago, and he was the only son of the family, which consists of his mother, Gurmeet Kaur, and his grandmother.
Davinder Singh’s mother, Gurmeet Kaur, stated that her son went to Canada 8 years ago for his studies and was working part-time alongside. She came to know about his body being found in a lake in Canada when the Canadian police contacted the family, after which someone called to inform her.
Gurmeet Kaur said, “My son had spoken to me before he left for work, but after that, he never returned.” She suspects foul play, stating that her son might have been killed and his body dumped in the lake in Canada. She has demanded a thorough and deep investigation into the matter.
