Dhanpreet Kaur, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, has issued fresh orders imposing strict timing restrictions on clubs, restaurants and licensed food outlets across the city to maintain law and order.
Midnight Shutdown Rule
All restaurants, clubs and licensed food and beverage establishments must shut completely by 12 midnight.
No Entry After 11:30 PM
No new customer will be allowed to enter restaurants, clubs or similar places after 11:30 PM. Food and drink orders will also stop after the same timing.
Loud Music Restrictions
DJs, live singers and orchestra performances must stop or reduce sound levels by 10 PM.
No loud music or noise from any building, venue or campus should be audible outside its boundary after permitted timings.
Vehicles fitted with music systems have also been warned against playing loud music audible outside the vehicle.
Orders Valid Till July 2026
The new orders issued by Commissionerate Police Jalandhar will remain in force till July 7, 2026.
