The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Lucky Oberoi has been shot dead today early in the morning outside a gurdwara in the Model Town area of Jalandhar. The reports indicate that just like any other day, Lucky had come to the Gurdwara this morning around 8:15 AM as a part of his daily routine.
This is when he was attacked by unknown assailant who fired multiple shots at him leaving him seriously injuring. Lucky was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment. Giving details about the case, Dr. Vishal gave a public statement saying that Satinder Pal Singh Jogi alias Lucky Oberoi was brought to them in a critical condition. The doctor says that Lucky had been shot around eight to nine times. As per reports, five to six bullets had hit his chest and one bullet had grazed his face. Talking further about the incident he shares that Lucky’s condition was very critical when he was brought to the hospital. He was put on a ventilator, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries moments later.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police immediately sprung into action and initiated a probe. Talking about the series of events so far, DCP Jalandhar Manpreet Singh says, that Lucky Oberoi was leaving after offering prayers at the Model Town’s gurdwara. That is when scooter-borne armed assailants came and fired shots at him. The police confirm that he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment where he has succumbed to injuries. The police have confirmed that a probe in currently underway.
The case is being probed from all possible angles and the police has not confirmed any pervious threats angle as of now and assured that a probe is underway.
