Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had made a pre-poll promise to the women of Punjab of providing Rs 1,000 per month to every woman in the state. Recently during addressing a state-level Maghi Mela gathering in Sri Muktsar Sahib, the CM asserted that his government will fulfil all the promises that they had made. The CM says, “We have honored every commitment made to the people.”
The CM assured that the provisions required to fulfill the Rs 1,000 promise will be made in the next budget. The proposed scheme aims to provide a monthly assistance of Rs 1000 for every women of Punjab. Now, CM Mann’s recent announcement has ignited a new hope among the women of Punjab, and it seems that there wait is finally going to bear fruits. With this now all eyes are set on the upcoming budget.
The Bhagwant Mann led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had made a promise during the 2022 Assembly polls alleging that they would give a stipend of Rs 1,000 to all the women of Punjab who are aged above 18.
