The Punjab Government has transferred IPS officer Dhanpreet Kaur from post of Commissioner of Police (CP) Jalandhar as part of a recent administrative reshuffle and following the transfer IPS officer Satinder Singh has been appointed as new Commissioner of Police Jalandhar.

Satinder Singh is a 2010-batch Punjab Police Service (PPS) officer who was recently serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ludhiana Range and he has earlier held several important positions in Punjab Police.

Before serving as DIG Ludhiana Range Satinder Singh was posted as DIG Border Range Amritsar and also served as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amritsar (Rural).

Known for his field experience and operational leadership Satinder Singh has handled several key assignments during his policing career and He is considered an experienced officer and has worked on issues related to narcotics control, crime prevention and security operations during his career.

His appointment as Jalandhar CP comes as part of Punjab Government's latest reshuffle of senior police officers.

Meanwhile Dhanpreet Kau a 2006-batch IPS officer has been transferred from Jalandhar.
