Four days after the suicide of Gagandeep Singh Randhawa, a District Manager (DM) at a warehouse in Amritsar, a post-mortem examination of his body is being conducted on today (Tuesday) and officials have said the procedure is taking place under the supervision of an Executive Magistrate and the entire process is being videographed to ensure transparency.
Randhawa’s body was shifted from EMC Hospital to the Civil Hospital mortuary around 10:00 AM and it had been kept at the hospital since the day of the incident. His last rites are expected to be held later in the day, meanwhile Amritsar Police are preparing to present Laljit Singh Bhullar MLA from Patti and a former minister before a local court in connection with the case.
Before taking the extreme step Randhawa had recorded a video in which he held Bhullar responsible for his suicide and police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
