To mark the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the Punjab Government has announced a series of Light and Sound Shows across the state beginning November 4. These shows will vividly depict the life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, who stood as a beacon of courage and faith for humankind.

In Jalandhar, the grand event will be organized at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium from 6 PM onwards on November 4, where devotees will be immersed in a visual presentation narrating the Guru’s inspiring journey and timeless philosophy. The Information and Public Relations Department confirmed that elaborate preparations have been made to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for devotees attending the event.

Announcing the statewide initiative, Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is commemorating this historic occasion with utmost reverence and grandeur. The Light and Sound Shows will take place simultaneously at Lamini Stadium in Pathankot, Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Jalandhar, Polo Ground in Patiala, and Sports Stadium Madhopur in Fatehgarh Sahib.

“These shows will bring alive the Guru’s extraordinary courage, compassion, and sacrifice for religious freedom,” said Minister Sond. “Through this initiative, we aim to inspire the younger generation with the powerful legacy of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and his message of humanity and steadfast faith.”

The Minister further shared that the commemorative events began on October 25 from the historic Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib in New Delhi. As part of the continuing celebrations, the Punjab Government will also hold four Nagar Kirtans from November 19 to 22, beginning from Srinagar, in honor of the Guru’s supreme martyrdom.

The Light and Sound Shows will continue across all districts of Punjab till November 20, offering citizens multiple opportunities to experience the visual storytelling of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life and teachings
