After the festive month of October, November has brought nip in the air along with a delightful list of public holidays.
The November month does not offer a lot of Public holidays but the month altogether is making a perfect balance with the holidays at intervals.

The year 2025 shall mark the 556th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji. This year the auspicious day shall be observed on Wednesday. All the government institutions including government offices, banks and schools shall remain closed in Punjab to observe this important day.
This year his notable day shall be observed on a Sunday, which is already a holiday.
This important day marks the sacrifice of 9th Guru Sahib. This year the day is falling on a Tuesday. All government institutions shall maintain this day as a holiday.
According to the official Punjab government’s notified calendar for the year 2025, in the month of November the government employees are granted certain restricted holidays. Which means besides the above holidays, each employee will also be permitted to avail himself/herself of any two holidays to be chosen by him/her out of the restricted holidays listed in the calendar year 2025. This provision of restricted holiday does not mandatorily apply on the Private sector/ company employees.

2nd November- Birthday of Sant Nam Dev ji
So the November month offered only two restricted holidays and there is no restricted holiday in the month.
Apart from these holidays the November month has 5 Sundays on, November, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Additionally the government institutions in Punjab shall remain closed on 8th and 22nd November for second saturday.
