Popular rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is mourning the tragic death of his 18-year-old nephew, Divit Auluck, who was killed in a road accident in Jalandhar in the early hours of Sunday. The tragedy has left the singer deeply distressed, with his emotional social media message reflecting the pain of losing a young family member.

“It’s a dark decade for me. Loss of my nephew is devastating. Bholenath mehr mehr,” Honey Singh wrote in an Instagram post, tagging Divit’s father, Dinesh Auluck, the Managing Director of Speed Records.

Divit lost his life along with his friend Aarav Talwar, 19, in a road accident around 3 am on Sunday. The two youngsters were travelling in a Volkswagen Jetta with three other occupants when the vehicle rammed into a municipal corporation garbage trolley parked on a flyover near Police Lines in Jalandhar.

The crash proved fatal for Divit and Aarav, while the other three occupants reportedly sustained minor injuries.

Honey Singh’s Emotional Tribute

Honey Singh’s message captured the profound grief surrounding the loss of his nephew. The rapper, one of the most recognisable names in India’s contemporary music scene, received condolences from fans and members of the Punjabi entertainment industry following the tragedy.

Singer Jazzy B also paid an emotional tribute to Divit, sharing a photograph of himself with Honey Singh and the teenager.

“No words can describe how I’m feeling right now. Sada puttar Divit,” Jazzy B wrote on Instagram, tagging Dinesh Auluck, Honey Singh, artist Goga Dhaliwal and rapper AP Dhillon.

Several prominent personalities from the Punjabi entertainment industry visited Dinesh Auluck’s residence in Jalandhar to express their condolences. Singer Gippy Grewal and actors Beenu Dhillon and Shehnaaz Gill were among those who visited the bereaved family.

Speaking during the visit, Beenu Dhillon said the family needed strength to cope with the tragedy, observing that the loss of a young son was exceptionally difficult for any father to bear.

How the Tragic Accident Happened

According to police, the five youngsters were returning after attending a party when their Volkswagen Jetta collided with a municipal corporation garbage trolley parked on a flyover near Police Lines at approximately 3 am.

Police said the vehicle was travelling at high speed. The impact severely damaged the left side of the car, where Divit and Aarav were seated.

The other occupants were identified as Raghav Punchi, 18, Pushkar Sharda, 18, and another youth. Pushkar is the son of Deepak Sharda, councillor from Ward No. 78.

Reports have also suggested that the youngsters may have been involved in a racing duel with two other vehicles, a Skoda and a Mahindra Thar. This aspect has not been established as a confirmed finding of the police investigation.

Baradari SHO Sahil Chowdhary said the two youngsters died because their side of the vehicle suffered the maximum impact. The remaining occupants sustained minor injuries.

DCP (City), Jalandhar, Aditya Warrier, confirmed that all five youngsters were travelling in the car when the accident occurred.

According to the police statement cited in reports, the families had not pressed any formal charges at that time.

Divit’s Death Shakes Punjabi Music Fraternity

Divit was the son of Dinesh Auluck, owner and Managing Director of Speed Records, a prominent music label associated with the growth of Punjabi music in India and overseas.

Speed Records has been associated with leading Punjabi artists, including Diljit Dosanjh, Karan Aujla, Sharry Mann and Satinder Sartaaj. Dinesh Auluck is also associated with entertainment platforms such as Chaupal and Pitara TV.

The loss has brought together members of the Punjabi entertainment fraternity in support of the family during an exceptionally difficult time.

Aarav Talwar, who belonged to the family behind Jalandhar’s well-known Pappi Sweets at Patel Chowk, was also killed in the crash. His last rites were performed on Sunday, while Divit’s cremation is scheduled for November 3, pending the return of his brother from Canada.

As condolences continue to pour in, Honey Singh’s emotional tribute has become one of the most poignant expressions of grief following the tragedy, highlighting the devastating personal loss behind the headlines.
