A bomb threat email has shaken the Ludhiana District Court today morning and created panic among the masses. After the e-mail was received, the Bar Association president sent messages to all lawyer and informed them about the e-mail and asked then not to come to their chambers.
Upon receiving information about the threat e-mail, the police sprung into action mode and launched a search operation across the district court building and a through search of every suspicious person was also conducted. As of now, the police have not commented on the matter, and only confirmed that there is a search operation currently underway.
It is noteworthy that, earlier too similar bomb threats were issued to various other courts in Punjab's districts. And today, the case has emerged in Ludhiana court and a police probe is currently going on. At the moment the e-mail ID from which the threat was sent is under investigation and the sender’s identity is currently being traced.
On December 23, 2021, a bomb blast had occurred at the Ludhiana court. During the incident one person lost their life and several others were injured during that. So, keeping that in mind, this bomb threat was not taken lightly and immediate steps were taken to ensure public’s safety. The officials have informed that any further details regarding the incident would be disclosed after a through investigation into the matter has taken place.
