A lottery ticket shop in Ludhiana has resorted to beating drums on the streets to find out about the mystery man who won Rs 1 crore Nagaland lottery prize.

Beating drum on the streets, a call is being made along with the lottery numbers, announcing that whoever has the winning number has won a bumper prize and should come and claim their money.

This routine has been going on at the lottery shop for about a month. The shopkeeper says that the person who purchased the ticket had kept his name secret. Efforts are being made to reach him and inform him to come and claim his money, as he will not be able to claim it after a month.

Rs 1 crore Nagaland Lottery Winner in Punjab

Manjeet Singh, owner of Ek-Omkar Agency, who runs a lottery shop at Ghantaghar in Ludhiana, said that the lottery run by the Nagaland government was sold from his shop.

A person purchased a lottery ticket for Rs 2,000. He had kept his contact number confidential. He stated that he was purchasing the lottery, but requested that his name be kept secret.

Manjit Singh reported that the draw took place about a month ago. Ticket number 7565 won Rs 1 crore. Upon learning that the lottery was sold from his shop, he was overjoyed. However, there is still no trace of the customer. Lottery sellers are constantly beating drums in search of the customer.

The validity of this ticket is 1 month. This ticket will be claimed within 1 month. If someone brings a ticket after 1 month, the ticket will not be claimed. He has sent a message to the customer to claim their ticket.

It is pertinent to mention here that all winning tickets must be submitted to the office of the Director of Punjab State Lotteries, Yojana Bhawan, Plot No. 2B, Sector 33A, Chandigarh, within 30 days of the results being published.

This application can be submitted in person or by post on the prescribed form. If a winner's claim is not received by the Directorate within 30 days, they will forfeit their right to receive the prize under the Punjab State Lottery Rules 2015.

Applicable tax (TDS) will be deducted in advance at the time of disbursement of the prize amount.
