

Renowned Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh, along with his team led by Rupinder Singh alias Roopa Sohana, kept their promise made to the Kabaddi players during floods. Today at Gurudwara Singh Shaheeda in Mohali, he honored the kabaddi players by gifting them cars.
At the time when floods hit Punjab in August 2025, the people of the state faced significant damage to their homes, fields and vehicles. During that time, Mankirt Aulakh along with his team provided assistance to many by offering them free tractors and helped them rebuild their homes.
Earlier he had helped two daughters of a family rebuild their home and made a promise to gift them a car at the time of their wedding. Today he has fulfilled his promise by gifting Swift car to Kabaddi players Rajandeep Sharma and Jas Sharma. He also presented an i20 car to kabaddi player Jujhar Singh. Aulakh, along with his team visited Gurudwara Singh Shaheedan in Mohali and handed over the car keys to the players.
However, he was supposed to give these cars to the players on Decemeber 15 last year, during a kabaddi cup in Sohana. Unfortunately, kabaddi promotor Rana Balanchauria was murdered that day, leading the program to be postponed.
The kabaddi athlete, shares that she was promised a car that was scheduled to be given to her during the Kabaddi Cup, however, fate had other plans. She expressed deep sorrow over the murder of Balachauria.
She also shows gratitude to Aulakh and his team for the gesture made an says she’ll be forever indebted for the same.
