He says it is the responsibility of the hospital to treat the patient and it is the government’s responsibility to worry about its expense. Every disease be it small or big is include under this scheme.

A golden period in Punjab's history: Kejriwal

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that many parties came to power and went but nobody cared for the public. Talking particularly about Punjab he says that the state was filled with gangsterism and drug menace, but he says now times have changed. Now this period will be written in golden ink in the history of Punjab. He said that they had promised the people of Punjab before coming to power that they would give free electricity, quality healthcare and education, but people used to skeptical due to their previous experiences, but AAP has always stood by its words and delivered whatever they had promised. He says APP has already made nearly 1,000 Mohalla Clinics with a plan to make 500 more. He further adds that the party also plans to make 2,500 Pind Clinics soon.

A network established to reach every corner of Punjab

The government has made a well-established web with help of VLE network. More than 9,000 centers are to be established where people can get themselves enrolled. The enrollment process has been made very simple. Youth club members would go from home to home and distribute slips which would clearly mention resident's nearest CSC Centre and the date of visit. The family would then visit the center on the allotted day along with the required documents. They would be enrolled into the scheme then and there, and will receive a confirmation SMS. Later, a Sehat Card would be issued that will be eligible to be used across all the empaneled hospitals across Punjab and Chandigarh.

Positive response and coordination from Hospitals

The hospitals are also playing a major role in making this scheme take shape into reality. The government has assured all the hospitals that they would be given timely payments. Over 2,500 packages have been suggested with increased package rates, so that nobody feels like they are not getting proper compensation. The government has already signed an agreement with the United India Insurance Company so that the payment procedure is fast tracked. The government has ensured that all the payments would be made within 15 days.
