Infighting in Congress in Punjab has exploded and leaders are making allegations and counter allegations against each other. Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of Navjot Singh Sidhu, has fired back at Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Gurdaspur MP, and leveled serious allegations against him.
On getting suspended by PPCC, Navjot Kaur Sidhu informed the media that she is currently in touch with Congress High Command and more details will come in due course of time. She alleges that 90 percent of AICC (All India Congress Committee) are supporting, while 70 percent of PPCC are supporting her.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu while talking to the media said, "My response to Sukhi Randhawa is this- You couldn’t even make your own wife win, I don’t understand how you managed to build a farmhouse. The person at whose feet you used to fall (Navjot Singh Sidhu), you later stabbed him in the back. You have links with smugglers, why don’t you respond to that?"
For the unversed, Jatinder Kaur, wife of Congress MP from Gurdaspur Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, lost election from Dera Baba Nanak assembly seat. AAP candidate Gurdeep Singh Randhawa won the election from there.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu went onto to say, "He (Sukhi Randhawa) went to Rajasthan and distributed tickets in exchange for money. I have shared proof, and I will share more. Because leaders from many seats have told me, ‘Ma’am, we were winning, Rahul ji saved us.’ I have shared all those bytes."
On her talks with Congress, Navjot Kaur Sidhu said-
"I have full support from the Congress. The entire AICC is with me. Seventy percent of Congress is with me."
On being asked what did Navjot Singh Sidhu say over the entire controvers, Navjot Kaur said, "Sidhu Saab told me, 'You have your own mind, do what you think is right.' For now, I am away from all this."
"He stayed away (from Punjab Congress and politics) because they said he was destroying the party. So he said I am going to TV. If I am destroying Congress, then you already have 5 people ready to be CM, why don’t you form the government?"
Navjot Kaur then again slammed Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and said, "I want to tell Sukhi Randhawa that you are connected with drug smugglers and other smugglers. You are not attacking the CM. You have built such a massive farmhouse. You couldn’t even make your own wife win. During the elections, the day I found out you had compromised your seat, action should have been taken against you first. You told Majithia Sahab, ‘I will make you win, and you make sure I win my seat.’"
