Aam Aadmi Party's Jalandhar Central Halka in-charge Nitin Kohli has announced a long-awaited road improvement plan for Surya Enclave. Under his leadership, proposals worth an estimated ₹5.10 crore for road construction and renovation in the area have been approved.
With the efforts of Nitin Kohli, this colony was transferred from the Improvement Trust to the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. Now, due to his continued efforts, road construction work in this colony is set to begin at a cost of ₹5.10 crore. The move is being seen as a significant step towards developing a safe, smooth, and modern road infrastructure in the locality.
Under the approved plan, the main road near Kendriya Sadan in Surya Enclave will be strengthened using advanced road construction technology. Along with this, repair and renovation work will also be carried out in the internal streets of Surya Enclave, which is expected to provide major relief to local residents in their daily commute.
According to Nitin Kohli, the primary objective of the Surya Enclave road improvement plan is to develop a secure, and strong road network in the area. His vision is that development should not remain confined to only major projects but should also ensure renovation of every street and road to provide smooth travel facilities to citizens.
He stated that all works are being carried out in accordance with technical standards and quality guidelines, and continuous monitoring of the project is being ensured.
Nitin Kohli expressed commitment that all road construction and renovation works in the Central constituency would continue in an organised manner while maintaining technical standards. His aim is to ensure steady development through a strong road network, with visible improvements in every lane and street.
Local residents believe that once the work is completed, it will not only ease traffic movement but also enhance the overall image of the area. Surya Enclave and surrounding regions are expected to become more developed with safe, and strong road facilities. This road plan is being considered an important part of the ongoing development initiatives in the Central Assembly constituency.
Last month, due to the persistent efforts of Aam Aadmi Party’s Jalandhar Central Halka Incharge Nitin Kohli, Surya Enclave and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Avenue were formally handed over to the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, paving the way for long-pending development works after 18 years.
