Nitin Kohli assures Ambedkar Nagar families, 'Will take the matter to CM for quick resolution'

Bringing major relief to hundreds of families in Ambedkar Nagar, Aam Aadmi Party’s Jalandhar Central Halka in-charge Nitin Kohli said that the issue will now be resolved swiftly. He stated that he is personally taking the entire matter to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, to ensure immediate and effective action at the government level.

Kohli assured the residents that there is no need to worry. He promised that their homes, temples, gurdwaras, and mosques will remain safe, and that no family will face any harm. Taking personal responsibility, he added that he will make sure no resident faces any kind of trouble during the process.

He further mentioned that the efforts are not limited to the political level. Kohli said he has already taken up the matter legally as well, having held detailed discussions with the Chief of PSPCL in Jalandhar and also met the concerned minister to present the situation. Constant dialogue is ongoing with all parties involved, and Kohli expressed confidence that a permanent solution will soon be reached.

He said the state government must find a solution that is clear, permanent, and entirely in the interest of the public. Now that the issue has reached the Chief Minister, the process of resolution will speed up, providing relief to the affected families soon. Kohli also reassured the residents of complete protection and support, vowing that he will stand with them under all circumstances.

“The issue should not be politicized”

Kohli emphasized that the matter should not be politicized in any way, as the future of hundreds of families depends on it. He said the problem is not of one particular government , it has been pending for around 25 years, involving several successive administrations.

He urged all political parties, organizations, and responsible individuals to come together and help the affected families. “This is the time to rise above politics and work sincerely to provide relief to people,” Kohli said, adding that he is making honest and determined efforts to ensure these families finally get justice and a lasting solution.
