

After returning to India, the Jalandhar resident spoke to the media and alleged that he had been dumped by a travel agent who promised him a high-paying job in Russia. The company they decided to work in promised the workers an extended work visa. He claimed that upon reaching the country, he was left stranded in poor living conditions with no proper employment or support.
Recounting his ordeal, the youth said he faced immense hardship before finally managing to return home, and has now appealed to the authorities to take strict action against those responsible for the alleged fraud.

Police in action
When asked about how he managed to return back, he shared the hardships he has to go through while surviving in the jungle. He mentioned that while working, police officials came and announced that all Indians working, get out. Fearing the situation all 20-25 men working ran into the jungle and scattered at different locations in search of help
2 days without food and water
He mentioned that they stayed in the jungle for 2 days, without any food or water before reaching a railway track. Seeing the track the group thought of following it in order to reach a railway station. Upon reaching, one of the Rajasthani man who knew very little Russian, talked to a man and conveyed their problem.
Russian man to the rescue
The Russian man managed to contact the group’s friend in Moscow and got their tickets done for the train. The group’s friend picked them from the main road and contacted the family.
Drone attacks on the Indians
While contacting the family, the Jalandhar resident told the family of the fraud by the travel agent and informed about the drone attacks on them and the urgent need to escape the situation. He claimed that no support was given to the them because of refusal to be appointed in the Russian army. He also claimed that police said if you return to Moscow, they will be shot dead
Action of the family
When informed about the situation, the traveller’s family sitting in area tried to contact the responsible agent and went to his residence. Upon confrontation, the agent denied any such matter and said that Akashdeep must be sleeping after his shift or may be at work. When asked for valid proofs of him working, he changed his statement and said that Akashdeep willingly ran from there because of inability to do the work.
Appeal to the government
Akashdeep appeals to the government of the refund of atleast 6 lakhs that he spent from the expense of 9 -10 lakhs and demands for strict actions against these agents and he accused.
