The Election Commission is expected to submit a report on the alleged audio recording of the police officers to Punjab & Haryana High Court. Opposition parties Shiromani Akali Dal, Congress, and BJP had filed a petition in the High Court regarding the viral video.
An audio had went viral alleging that Patiala SSP was directing DSPs to prevent opposition candidates from filing their election nomination papers.
The audio had triggered a political storm as Punjab is set to undergo Zila Parishad and Block Committee elections on December 14.
However, Patiala Police had rejected the viral audio calling it generated by AI on X.
