Five days after slain singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala’s parents Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur staged a protest outside Mansa SSP office, the police have registered a case of cheating against two individuals and a digital entertainment company. Sidhu’s parents had been demanding an action into the alleged financial irregularities involving their late son’s earnings.
They claim that the company’s owner was embezzling their late son Sidhu Moosewala’s earnings and the company holding the marketing rights to the late writer-rapper’s tracks has failed to share the financial audits and royalty payments for over a year now. A misappropriation of approximately Rs 30 crore is being alleged in this financial dispute.
Following this, now the police has initiated a probe into the matter based on Sidhu Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur’s statement. A case has been registered at the Sadar Police Station in Mansa against One Digital Network Private Limited, Gurpreet Singh Bhasin and Shabir Momin under the sections 316 (2), 336(2), 336(3), 338, 340(2), 344, 66, 318(4) and 61(2) of the BNS.
Following the protest by Sidhu Moosewala’s parents, Bunty Bains had come forward and responded to the allegations. Clarifying his stance through a series of Instagram posts, he claimed that he has not been involved in any wrongdoings. He also attached several screenshots and recordings to back his claim.
