As per latest update given by a senior officer, the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to Jalandhar has been cancelled. As per sources, due extreme bad weather the Presidents’ flight from Amritsar to Jalandhar has been cancelled. The President of India travels in Air India One.
The President Droupadi Murmu was scheduled to visit Jalandhar to grace the convocation ceremony that is set to take place in NIT, Jalandhar. Today, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) is hosting their 21st convocation. The President was scheduled to take part in this event, however now it seems very uncertain.
Latest reports reveal that the chair reserved for the chief guest, Droupadi Murmu on the stage was removed by the institute administration confirming the cancellation.
