Multiple prominent schools of Jalandhar on Saturday (January 31) received bomb threat email. The email sender claimed that the schools will be blown up today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Jalandhar on February 1. The email sender in threatening mail wrote although there is full respected for Guru Ravidass Ji, but PM Modi is an enemy of Khalistan, hence they will blow up the schools.

Among the prominent schools that received the threats are Cambridge International CoEd School, Police DAV Public School, MGN Public School, Cambridge Innovative School, IVY World School, C.T. Public School, LBS etc.

It is pertinent to mention here that schools of Jalandhar are closed on January 31 over Guru Ravidass Ji’s Parkash Purab. Hence, there are no students in schools.

Prime Minister Modi is set to visit Jalandhar to pay his obeisance at Dera Sachkhand Ballan on the occasion of Guru Ravidass Ji’s Parkash Purab.

Following the threat, teams of police officials rushed to the affected schools, and bomb disposal squads were called in to conduct thorough searches of the premises. As a precautionary measure, security has been tightened, and investigations are underway to trace the origin of the email.
