Punjab Congress leader and Member of Parliament from Patiala, Dr Dharamvira Gandhi has shared a post on his social media handle saying, “So unhappy, so sad. Congress party, especially its faction ridden in Punjab unit is bereft of depth politics.”
The short but very impactful message that was shared by Dr Dharamvira Gandhi clearly expresses his disappointment with his own party. In simpler words, Gandhi wants to convey the message that he feels deeply unhappy about the current positioning of the Congress party in Punjab. He sheds light on the party's infight by calling the party’s Punjab unit ‘faction ridden’.
It is evident with the comment made by the Patiala MP that the current positioning of Congress party remains wobbly and lacks strong and unified approach. This post has once again caused a stir within the Congress party exposing their shortfalls. Allegedly, there is a lot of infighting in the Congress regarding the CM face of the party for the upcoming 2027 Punjab Assembly polls. There is a lot of uproar regarding the position of the party’s state president as well. Allegedly, the party is planning to hand over the position to a new face.
With all the mounting conflicts, now Dharamvira’s post has once again circled back to the ongoing issues persisting in the party. Now, it will be interesting to see how the Congress party and other leaders are going to respond to his remarks.
