
Punjab on Thursday (September 4) woke up to a sunshine after 72 hours of relentless rainfall. Punjab Floods 2025 has been buzzing on social media with both Punjabi as well as Bollywood stars coming forward to spread awareness.
On ground zero, Punjab Police, Indian Armed Forces, NDRF, NGOs, and District Administration have joined hands to carry out rescue and relief related work.
While the state is witnessing no rainfall (while writing), the Punjab Government has released their daily bulletin on the flood. Between August 1 to September 3, Punjab Floods 2025 death toll has reached to 37.
As per Punjab government's bulletin, all its 23 districts have been flood hit. A total of 1655 villages have been impacted by flood. Out of 1655 villages affected, Gurdaspur has most affected villages at 324. Amritsar is the second worst impacted with 190 villages affected.
A total of 3,55,709 people have been impacted due to Punjab Floods 2025. Below is district wise distribution-
