In a major development, eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 1994 batch, who previously held the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), have been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). The promotion order, issued by the Governor of Punjab, was released on Monday by the Department of Home Affairs.
Among the promoted officers are Praveen Kumar Sinha IPS, who is the Punjab Vigilance and Intelligence chief, and his wife, Anita Punj IPS. Check full list below-
