Multiple districts of Punjab are witnessing floods. Incessant rain in Himachal Pradesh has resulted in rise of water level in various rivers of Punjab. Hence, water level has raised above danger level in the state. In the meantime, latest Punjab Rainfall Prediction has come and multiple districts are expected to witness heavy rain.
AccuWeather has predicted much more accurate rainfall prediction as compared to IMD Chandigarh. It has now put Jalandhar on thunderstorm alert on August 19, 2025 i.e. on Tuesday.
AccuWeather predicts that there are 80 percent chances that Jalandhar will witness thunderstorm today. Thunderstorms will hit a few areas of Jalandhar late at night.
Around 2 am in the night, there is 55 percent chances of showers in Jalandhar.
AccuWeather has predicted that Ludhiana has 96 percent chances of rainfall and thunderstorm today. The timing is same as of Jalandhar i.e. around 1 am to 2 am.
Amritsar has also been put under thunderstorm. AccuWeather predicts that there is 80 percent chances of rainfall and thunderstorm. The timing is around 1 am to 2 am.
Weather department IMD has predicted that there will be no rain in Punjab from August 20 to August 22. However, on August 23, multiple districts of Punjab are on heavy rainfall alert.
On August 23, 2025- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Ludhiana, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala.
