The Punjab School Education Department is set to implement revised school timings across the state from November 2, with the schedule adjusted in view of changing weather conditions.
Under the reported winter timetable, primary schools will operate from 9 AM to 3 PM, while middle, high and senior secondary schools will remain open from 9 AM to 3:20 PM. The revised schedule is expected to apply to government, private, aided and recognised schools across Punjab.

New Schedule to Begin on Monday
November 1, 2026, falls on a Sunday, meaning schools will remain closed for the regular weekly holiday. Consequently, students and teachers are expected to follow the revised timings from Monday, November 2.
Winter Timings Adjusted with Seasonal Changes
Punjab revises school timings during the academic year in response to seasonal conditions. Under the October schedule, primary schools operate from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, while middle, high and senior secondary schools run from 8:30 AM to 2:50 PM.
The reported November schedule shifts both opening and closing times later in the day as the state moves towards the winter months.
The revised timings are expected to remain in place during the winter period, subject to further directions from the Education Department.
