The India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Chandigarh unit on Saturday issued fresh predictions for Punjab Weather. Punjab Weather has been witnessing dense fog for the past few days. The serious of the situation can be understood by the fact that multiple accidents have been reported in Punjab over the past few days due to dense fog.
On Saturday, Jalandhar did not witness sun through out the day. A a result, the daytime temperature continued to drop in the region. For instance, around 4:30 pm on Saturday i.e. December 20, Jalandhar is witnessing 19°C in the day time.
Now, IMD Chandigarh has issued new prediction for Punjab Weather and stated that Punjab will see a 3-days relief from fog.
December 20- on yellow alert for dense fog- Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur. No alert in rest of districts.
December 21- No alert
December 22- No alert
Dense fog will return to Punjab from December 23.
December 23- on yellow alert for dense fog- Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Patiala, Barnala, Moga, Mansa, Bathinda, Faridkot, Ferozepur, Muktasar, and Fazilka
December 24- All districts on yellow alert
