Will New Year's Eve be 'wet’?

– At least with the data that we currently have, anything that falls will be light and scattered. Nothing at the current point has emerged concerning a system that will douse the whole state at once.

- Some areas might just find that the roads are damp, along with a bit of mist and drizzle on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day. Others might not receive anything more than thick clouds, fog, and chilly breeze.

Effect on Plans for the New Year

- Arranging for parties or concerts on top of buildings or for night performances by a DJ might call for a Plan B. Even cool wind, fog, or light rain is enough to disrupt the audio system and seating arrangement, requiring necessary plastic sheets, tents, and umbrellas to be kept jointly along with warm clothing.

- It may be a good thing for farmers if there is a small amount of rainfall in the area at this point. Even a temporary period can revitalize the rabi crops, besides giving the fields a bath. However, they can check the weather warnings issued by the weather and agricultural department, in case the system intensifies on the 30th and 31st of December.
