Today, the toll plazas in Punjab will remain free for four hours. The Qaumi Insaaf Morcha has announced a protest in the state across all the toll plazas and make them free from 11AM to 3PM for today. The protest is to be held in order to demand the release of Sikh prisoners, along with other key demands. The Qaumi Insaaf Morcha has sought support and corporation from other supporting organizations as well.
The officials of the morcha have said that for a very long time they have been struggling and raising their demand for the release of Sikh prisoners, but the central government is not listening to them. This is why today, they have decided to take this step and make all the toll plazas free across the state for four hours. Several farmer organizations have also extended their support to the protest.
Following the appeal of the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha, Dilbagh Singh, Punjab president of the Bharatiya Kisan Mazdoor Union, has announced that the Ladhowal Toll Plaza in Ludhiana and the Neelon Toll Plaza located near Samrala will remain shut for four hours today. He adds, that the members of his organization will be present along with the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha shoulder to shoulder.
Darshan Singh Ladi the State President of the Punjab Toll Plaza Workers Union has also come in the support of the Qaumi Morcha and ensured that all the toll plazas would remain free during the announced time. He assured full support and coordination to the Qaumi Morcha.
