As of now, this is the government’s last year in office. The government has a clear roadmap prepared to woo the youth and garner their support for the upcoming elections of 2027.

Focused on empowering women

The AAP has made it clear through their women centric approach that they are leaving no stone unturned to empower women of the society. According to data 5,714 Anganwadi workers were hired along with creation of 3,000 new post. Job protection actively provided for dependents of disabled Anganwadi workers. The government also opened doors for women in firefighting jobs.

Over 61,000 government jobs provided since March 2022

Aam Aadmi Party successfully provided 61,281 government jobs since they came to power in March 2022. The government also registered over 1.5 lakh youth on job portal. The government considers this a major milestone that proves their youth centric approach.

Private job sector also in focus

Keeping into consideration the limitation of government jobs, the party also is actively focusing on creating private sector jobs as well. So far, the government has provided over 1.2 lakh private jobs to the youth via job fairs. The government further plans to organize the Progressive Punjab Summit in March this year, where private companies would be given an invitation to operate in Punjab. The move is expected to boost employment opportunities across state. In particular, CM Bhagwant Mann’s recent visits to Japan and South Korea, is expected to draw their interest into investing in Punjab.
