The swelling waters of the Ravi River have reached the vicinity of Ajnala town, creating concern among the local population. On Friday night, Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Sakshi Sahni personally visited the area to alert residents and oversee precautionary measures. Early this morning, she once again arrived with her team to coordinate relief and assistance for those in need.
She was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rohit, Ajnala DSP, and several other senior officers. Together, they reviewed the ground situation and directed immediate support measures for affected families.
Relief operations, which had already begun in Ramdas, were today extended to several other villages of Ajnala subdivision, where teams are engaged in providing necessary aid and assistance to the people.
