Punjab Government’s Department of Home Affairs on Tuesday announced a major reshuffle in the Punjab Police, transferring and posting eight IPS officers across key positions.

According to the latest official order, IPS officer Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Intelligence, Punjab, and will head the Intelligence Wing. Prior to this posting, Dr. Gill was serving as IGP, Headquarters, Punjab, Chandigarh.

Following the reshuffle, IPS officer PK Sinha has now been appointed as the Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab.

IPS officer Naresh Arora who was serving as Special DGP, Punjab State Human Rights Commission, Chandigarh, has been posted as Special DGP, Human Rights, Punjab, Chandigarh, along with additional charge of Special DGP, PSHRC.

IPS officer S.S. Srivastava earlier Special DGP (Security), Punjab, Chandigarh, has been transferred and posted as Special DGP, Headquarters, Punjab, Chandigarh.

IPS officer Dr. Kaustubh Sharma earlier posted as ADGP, Human Rights, Punjab, Chandigarh, has been transferred as ADGP, Security, Punjab, Chandigarh.

IPS officer Sandeep Goel earlier DIG, Border Range, Amritsar, has been posted as DIG, AGTF-2, Ludhiana, while retaining additional charge of DIG, Border Range, Amritsar.

IPS officer Maninder Singh who was serving as SSP Ropar, has been transferred and posted as AIG, Welfare, Punjab, with additional charge as SSP Ropar.

IPS officer Kanwaldeep Singh earlier AIG, Crime, BoI, Punjab, Chandigarh, has been transferred and posted as AIG, Personnel-1, Punjab, Chandigarh.
