In a major development in the case related to the death of Richi Kaypee, son of former minister and former Jalandhar MP Mohinder Singh Kaypee, the main accused Prince, who had been absconding for several weeks, has surrendered before the court.
Police have secured a two-day remand of the accused for further investigation. It has also been learned that Prince’s bail plea was earlier rejected by the court, leaving him with no relief.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of September 13, when Richi Kaypee lost his life in a road accident. Acting on a complaint by his father, police registered a case of rash and negligent driving and culpable homicide not amounting to murder against Ertiga driver Prince and Grand Vitara driver Vishu.
