

The case of desecration in Golden Temple where a man made a reel washing his face and gargling in the sacred Golden Temple's Sarovar. In regard to this case today, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has filed a written complaint to the Amritsar Police and demanded strict legal action against the accused youth.
Talking to the media, SGPC Legal Advisor Amanbir Singh Syali said that the committee has also investigated this entire matter at its own level. He further informs that during the investigation, it has come to light that the said Muslim youth had reached Sri Darbar Sahib with the intention of desecrating it. According to him, on January 13, the youth had come to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib with his four friends and remained inside the Darbar Sahib for about 20 minutes.
Amanbir Singh Syali said that during the investigation, it has also come to light that the youth did not even bow down in Sri Darbar Sahib, which further strengthens the suspicion. The SGPC, describing this matter as serious, has submitted a complaint to the Amritsar Police Commissioner and has demanded that strict action should be taken as per the law in this matter that hurts religious sentiments.
On the other hand, according to the information, the said youth had apologized by releasing a video on the same day. In the video, he said that if any of his actions or videos have hurt anyone's feelings, he expresses regret for it. He claims that he had no intention of hurting anyone's feelings and that he was not fully aware of proper etiquette. Two separate videos of the youth also went viral, in which he is seen repeatedly apologizing to the Sikh community.
The police are investigating the matter and it has been said that legal action will be taken keeping in mind all the aspects.
