ED's official disclosure highlights alleged ₹1.05 crore compensation fraud, government land transactions and suspected benami properties following searches at seven locations.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Chandigarh Zonal Office-I, has revealed significant details of its investigation into alleged financial irregularities, fraudulent land transactions and suspected money laundering involving Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Moga, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora, her family members and associates.
According to an official ED press release dated November 6, searches were conducted at seven locations on November 4, 2026, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The premises included locations connected to the MLA, her family members, associates and a hospital-cum-drug de-addiction centre.
The investigation originated from an FIR registered by Punjab Police at Dharamkot Police Station in Moga district. The case relates to alleged manipulation of revenue records concerning government land in Village Adhraman, resulting in the wrongful disbursement of ₹1,00,65,724 as compensation for land acquired for National Highway No. 754A.
The FIR names Navdeep Singh, a Patwari, Dilkush Kumari and others. Punjab Police has also filed a chargesheet against Navdeep Singh.
During its investigation, the ED allegedly found that the compensation amount was credited to Dilkush Kumari's bank account and subsequently frozen by the bank. Further investigation reportedly revealed the involvement of the MLA, her husband and other associates in facilitating the alleged diversion and siphoning off of the compensation funds.
In another significant finding, the ED identified several government, municipal and charitable properties allegedly acquired or transferred through manipulation of revenue records and property documents. These include 13 marlas of Central Government land on Zira Road, 7 marlas of Punjab Government land in Civil Lines, 6 marlas of Market Committee land on Railway Road, 3 kanal and 16 marlas of Municipal Corporation land at Moga's Mehna Singh-3, and 52 marlas and 8 sarsahis belonging to the United Church of Northern India Trust Association.
According to the agency, these properties were allegedly transferred in favour of relatives of the MLA and other associated persons.
The ED has also flagged the alleged acquisition of residential property in Moga involving suspected unaccounted cash consideration. Investigators are examining the financial transactions and possible links between these properties and the alleged proceeds of crime.
During searches at the seven locations, the agency recovered incriminating documents, electronic devices and other material which allegedly indicate the acquisition of benami properties by the MLA and her associates.
The ED stated that the recovered material is being examined to establish the complete money trail, identify the beneficiaries and investigate the alleged financial transactions. Further investigation in the case is underway.
All allegations mentioned above are based on the ED's official disclosure and remain subject to investigation and judicial determination.
