Punjabi iconic comedian Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla passed away after reportedly suffering a brain stroke on August 20, after which he was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali. His health was critical since last night. He breathed his last at around 4 am today.
As per reports, his last rites will be performed in Mohali tomorrow (23 August) at 1 pm. It is being told that Bhalla's daughter had gone to Europe ten days ago. After the death of her father, she is now returning. She will reach Mohali by this evening. On the other hand, his son is at home.
Jaswinder Bhalla was born on 4 May 1960 in Doraha, Ludhiana. He started his career as a comedian in 1988 with "Chhankata 88". After this, he became an actor in the film "Dulla Bhatti".
Jaswinder Bhalla was a professor at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). He also became the brand ambassador of PAU.
Jaswinder Bhalla had bought a new house in Mohali in March 2022. During this time, a theft took place in his house. The robbers took away cash, jewelry and a .32 bore revolver worth lakhs of rupees by holding his elderly mother hostage. Jaswinder Bhalla was not present at home at the time of the incident.
His son and daughter-in-law had gone to Patiala for some work. Only his mother and servant were at home. Later investigation revealed that the servant was also involved in the incident.
