In what came as a shock for the Punjabi film fraternity, famous comedian and actor Dr. Jaswinder Bhalla has passed away. Jaswinder Bhalla's cause of death has not been revealed but it is reported that he was ill for many days. His last rites will be performed in Mohali on August 23 at Balongi cremation ground.
Jaswinder Bhalla was born on 4 May 1960 in Doraha, Ludhiana. He was also a professor. He started his professional career as a comedian in 1988 with "Chhankata 88" and became an actor with the film "Dulla Bhatti". He is known for his comedy series "Chhankata" and comic roles in various Punjabi films.
