These places include Tibri (dist Gurdaspur) 5, Amritsar (dist Amritsar) 5, Malikpur (dist Pathankot) 4, Pathankot Arg (dist Pathankot) 4, Gurudaspur (dist Gurdaspur) 3, Sri Anandpur Sahib Aws (dist Rupnagar) 3, Shahpur Kandi (dist Pathankot) 3, Kvk Pathankot Aws (dist Pathankot) 2, Ranewali Irr (dist Amritsar) 2, Madhopur (dist Pathankot) 2, Thein Dam Aws (dist Pathankot) 1, Amritsar Irr (dist Amritsar) 1, Athwal Irr (dist Gurdaspur) 1, Phangota (dist Pathankot) 1, Mukerian (dist Hoshiarpur) 1, Aliwal (dist Gurdaspur) 1, Dhariwal Irr (dist Gurdaspur) 1. The highest maximum temperature in the state is 41.3°C recorded at Bhatinda and the lowest minimum temperature in the state is 22.4°C recorded at Amritsar.
The weather department has forecast that rainy spell will continue across Punjab over next few days and light to moderate rainfall is likely at many places from 25th to 29th and at few places thereafter in the state. Thunderstorm/Lightning/Gusty Wind (40-50 kmph gusting up to 60 kmph) likely at isolated places from 25th to 27th & 29th to 01st July in the state. No large change in maximum temperature for next 5 days in the state is observed.
For June 26 warnings of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph are given for isolated places in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Fatehgarh Sahib, Hosiarpur, Rupnagar and SAS Nagar (Mohali). Along with this light to moderate rainfall is expected at the same places. On June 27 no warnings of any kind are given by IMD but forecast of light to moderate rainfall likely at isolated places over Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar (MOHALI) is given.
IMD predictions for June 28 are thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph is likely at isolated places over Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar alongside light to moderate rainfall at isolated places over Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawashahar, Rupnagar and SAS NAGAR (MOHALI). Similar weather conditions are predicted for June 29, these involve thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph is likely at isolated places over Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Nawanshar, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Rupnagar with light to moderate rainfall in same places.
So to put it all simply the forecast indicates that rain activity may continue in parts of Punjab until at least 29 June..
