A heated confrontation broke out between protesting farmers and the police outside the office of DSP Mandeep Kaur in Nabha. The farmers were staging a sit-in demanding the arrest of Pankaj Pappu, husband of Municipal Council President Sujata Chawla, in connection with the theft of trolleys during the Shambhu Morcha agitation.

Four unions, including Bharatiya Kisan Union (Azad), Bharatiya Kisan Union (Bhated Kalan), and Krantikari Union, were part of the protest.

“They blocked my car, pulled at my uniform, and even tugged my hair bun. They behaved in a very indecent manner, which is unacceptable. I will ensure strict action is taken against them,” DSP Kaur said.

On the other hand, farmer leaders, including Gamdoor Singh, refuted the allegations. They claimed they were holding a peaceful protest for justice when the DSP allegedly tried to drive her vehicle into the crowd.
