Haryana-based YouTuber Armaan Malik on Wednesday night shared a video on Instagram and addressed the continuous social media trolling he has been facing.
Armaan Malik has been under the scanner of social media trollers after he visited Shri Kali Mata Temple in Patiala on Tuesday and then on Wednesday in Mohali Kali Mata Temple.
Armaan visited Kali Mata Temple in Punjab along with his wife Payal Malik. As per reports, Payal Malik was booked in Zirakpur over complaints of hurting religious sentiments.
Payal Malik had uploaded a transformation reel on her Instagram in which she first wore shorts and top and then transform into Goddess Kali. This had sparked a massive outrage on social media.
Amid the controversy, social media trollers questioned how Armaan Malik was allowed to do Sewa. Many slammed Armaan for visiting Kali Mata Temple despite from another religion.
Finally, the YouTuber broke his silence and shared a video addressing the controversy-
"I did not want to make this video. I am a Hindu, I will remain a Hindu and I will die a Hindu. The second thing is I have children who are 2-years-old. People often make something on their body that they can remember his entire life. Either they ink the name of their mother, father, sister or children. I will show you who is God for me."
Armaan then lifts his T-shirt to show Lord Shiva's tattoo on his back.
"Only a Hindu can do this. Now, what you will call me? Muslim? Now, all you mouths will be shut up. This is a slap to those people who repeatedly torture me as I have got a Muslim name. Brothers, I was born a Hindu, I will die as a Hindu and my values will also remain a Hindu.
My family is suffering today. We all apologised for it. But, labeling me Muslim again and again, it really hurts me a lot. If you call this to the person who has been born in a Hindu family, it really hurts.
Don't play Hindu-Muslim politics with us. Yes, we have made a mistake and for that we have apologised. But, don't say I am from other religion. I am a Hindu."
