Payal Malik visits Patiala's Kali Mata Temple to seek apology, 'husband' Armaan Malik performs Sewa

Social media influencer and former Bigg Boss OTT contestant Payal Malik on Tuesday visited Patiala's Kali Mata Temple to seek apology. Payal Malik who is one of the wives of YouTuber Armaan Malik visited the Patiala Temple along with her daughter and influencer husband.

Payal's visit to the temple came in the backdrop of the massive social media uproar that was sparked when she shared a transformation reel on her Instagram in which she was seen wearing western dress and then she showed herself in the attire of Goddess Kali.

As per reports, Shiv Sena Hind had expressed strong objection to the portrayal, alleging that the depiction of the goddess Kali was disrespectful and hurt religious sentiments.

Not only this, but a formal complaint was filed on July 20 with the Zirakpur Police in Mohali by Shiv Sena Hind's national general secretary, Deepanshu Sood.

Payal Malik's Apology

After visiting the temple and performing Sewa at the temple, Payal addressed the media in which she clarified, My daughter is a great devotee of Kali Mata. She keeps saying Kali Maa Kali Maa all the time. I thought I should create a look for my daughter. Perhaps I made a big mistake."

"All the people who are listening to me, I hope that no one else makes the mistake that I have made. I apologise to all the organizations with folded hands."

When she was asked if she realized her mistake, Payal said, "I realize this mistake. After I made the video, I realized that I made a mistake. After this I removed this video. It has been 3 months since the video was removed. Some people kept this video with them and shared it further."

Payal then took to her Instagram handle and shared her statement video with the caption, "Mai Payal Malik maafi mangti hu sare sanatani bhai behano se."

She then shared a video in which her YouTuber husband Armaan was seen doing Sewa at the temple.
