Amrit Malwa Capital Limited (AMCL), a Jalandhar-based non-banking financial company, has secured a combined US$8.3 million in institutional funding, comprising US$5.2 million from Franklin Templeton, the trillion-dollar global investment management giant, and US$3.1 million from Creation Investments.
The funding marks a significant milestone for the Punjab-headquartered financial institution, strengthening AMCL’s access to international institutional capital as it continues to expand its lending operations and geographical presence.
The US$5.2 million secured from Franklin Templeton, one of the world’s largest investment management organisations with assets under management running into trillions of dollars, represents an important development in Amrit Malwa Capital Limited’s institutional growth journey.
For a financial institution built from its roots in Jalandhar, securing funding associated with a global investment powerhouse of Franklin Templeton’s scale highlights AMCL’s growing access to international capital markets.
AMCL has additionally secured US$3.1 million from Creation Investments, a global investment firm with a strong focus on financial services, financial inclusion and emerging markets.
The association aligns closely with AMCL’s longstanding focus on serving customers across rural, semi-urban and developing markets.
Together, the two transactions take the total institutional funding secured by AMCL to US$8.3 million.
The development represents a notable milestone not only for Amrit Malwa Capital Limited but also for Jalandhar, as a homegrown financial institution attracts capital from globally recognised investment organisations.
From its roots in Punjab, Amrit Malwa Capital Limited has expanded its operations across multiple states while building its presence in automobile finance, electric-vehicle finance, loan-against-property and other lending segments.
Its growth has been driven by a strong presence in markets where access to organised credit plays an important role in mobility, employment, entrepreneurship and financial inclusion.
The fresh institutional funding is expected to provide additional financial strength to AMCL as it expands its loan book, deepens its presence in existing markets and explores further geographical and business growth opportunities.
The participation of trillion-dollar global asset manager Franklin Templeton alongside Creation Investments also marks another step in AMCL’s evolution from a Punjab-rooted finance company into an increasingly institutionally backed financial-services platform.
With US$5.2 million from Franklin Templeton and US$3.1 million from Creation Investments, taking the combined funding to US$8.3 million, Amrit Malwa Capital Limited enters its next phase of expansion with stronger global institutional backing and greater access to international capital.
