Former Pilot-turned-influencer Gaurav Taneja who is famous on social media by the username 'Flying Beast' called out western media for running a propaganda in the Air India Flight Crash case.

Gaurav Taneja accused the western media of trying to save American Aircraft company Boeing and shift the blame of Ahmedabad flight crash reason to pilot Captain Sumeet Sabharwal.

Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Best took to his social media handle and shared a video explaining how AI 171 crash was not Captain Sabharwal's fault.

Flying Beast also outlined Boeing's training manual in which it was mentioned about fuel switches.

For the unversed, AAIB's initial report suggest that Air India crashed over possible uncommanded shutdown or unintended human-machine interface anomaly with the fuel control switches.

However, the western media has picked up conversation between the pilot and Co-pilot and drawing conclusion that Air India crash was Captain Sabharwal's fault.

What did Gaurav Taneja say?

"I am gonna expose the foreign media who are running a well orchestrated propaganda campaign accusing Captain Sabarwal of directly cutting the flight switch and forcing aircraft into crash. Page number 14 of the report- Maximum Recorded Air Speed of 180 knots at about 8, 8:42. This was the maximum Air Speed, the aircraft achieved on that day. Immediately thereafter, the engine switches were cut and the engines went off. If the engines were shut after 8,8:42 that means speed must have gone above 180 because for sure because of the inertia of the engines. That only proves that engines were shut before 8,8:42.

'Procedure to cut fuel switch, put them back on was just a relight attempt by the pilots'

Taneja further said, "And the procedure to cut the fuel switch, put them back on was just a relight attempt by the pilots. Engines were failed because of probably an Aircraft fault. Captains cut the fuel switch to relight the engine and that's what the procedure says."

This is Boeing 787 flight crew training manual. Dual engine failure is a situation that demands prompt action altitude or air speed cycling both fuel control switches is used during a dual engine failure to reset both EECS. So, if you recycle the EECS gives a command to the Aircraft to attempt a relight and that's what the aircraft did. Because the time was less aircraft could not relight and it crashed. The pilots tried to save the aircraft. Engines were shut off 8, 8:42. Foreign media have their interest to save Boeing. They are running this fake propaganda that Captain Sabarwal led the aircraft down. Imagine the state of 90-year-old father who will now have to live with a tag that his son was a murderer.
added Gaurav Taneja.

Gaurav Taneja shared the video on X with a caption that reads-

"Foreign media / Pilots Propaganda on #AI171 Crash. Example- if the engines fail at 180 knots the aircraft inertia would have taken the airspeed to at least 185/186 knots before the speed decays since the a/c isas accelerating. (this is tested in the That only means, engines failed before 8:8:42 probably just after liftoff)."
