This widespread variant is also known as B.1.617.2, wasdetected in December and is spreading at a high pace, in some regions of theUS, most of the infections are reported in Midwestern states such as Kansas,Lowa, and Missouri. These cases have accounted for 51.7 percent of the Covidcases in America; this is reported by the Disease Control and Prevention(CDC).

On the other side, Joe Biden, the President of the USAsaid that the number of Covid deaths has dropped drastically due to thevaccination program but still the citizens of America need to take all thesafety measures, as the Delta variant is spreading really fast in the nation. Healso added that 90 percent of the cases have decreased due to vaccination.

"But we have to stay vigilant, especially with theDelta variant that's out there. While COVID-19 cases are rising, virtually allof the Covid deaths and hospitalizations are from unvaccinated people. Let mesay it again: virtually all are from unvaccinated people.” He told, “the safestthing to do for the people is to get vaccinated and that's why we're focusing,on our next phase, on getting the unvaccinated vaccinated," he furtherstated.
