
In a major breakthrough, the Amritsar Rural Police, under the leadership of DGP Gaurav Yadav, has apprehended 8 suspects linked to a UK-based handler, Dharma Sandhu. Acting on precise intelligence, the operation resulted in the seizure of:
• 4.5 kg of heroin
• 2 Glock 9mm pistols
• 3 other pistols (30 bore and 32 bore)
• 1 Zigana pistol (30 bore)
• 16 live cartridges
• ₹1.5 lakh in drug money
An FIR has been lodged under the NDPS Act and the Arms Act at PS Gharinda, Amritsar.
