Former Punjab Congress Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu was arrested today by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a tender scam and allegations of money laundering. The arrest occurred after Ashu was questioned for 8 to 9 hours at the ED office in Jalandhar. He was unable to provide satisfactory answers during the interrogation, leading to his arrest. Following the arrest, he was taken to Jalandhar Civil Hospital for a medical examination. ED officer JP Singh confirmed the arrest, stating that more information will be released to the media through a press note.
