In a concerning development, a bomb threat email has been received by Punjab and Haryana Secretariat on Thursday. As a result, security has been beefed up in the high-security zone of Chandigarh. The threat came just a day after several schools in the city received similar bomb threats, raising concerns among authorities.

Fire brigade, police forces, and bomb disposal squads have arrived at the spot, and a search operation is underway. Chandigarh Police suspect it to be another hoax threat, but precautionary checks are continuing.

According to reports, the threat has been sent via email, after which the administration and security agencies immediately went on high alert. As a precautionary measure, the Punjab and Haryana Secretariat complex was evacuated. All officers and employees were safely escorted out.
